Hey Fellow Fans...
Well after a long research of fan theory and analysis about the black liquid mystery I came to my own conclusion... This is only an opinion from my point of view... enjoy the reading.. please don't mind the grammar Lol...
Main elements of Prometheus
1) Black Goo (On lv223)
2) Goo (That the Engineer Consumes)
3) Black Substance (Inside the Vase)
4) Green Substance (Inside the Vase)
5) Male / Female Theory
6) Worms
1) It is believed that the Black Goo has different traits but that is not the case, i believe that the Black Goo has only 1 trait, it enhances organic material. Example The worms that got bigger and strong when they became in contact with the Black Goo. We must remember that no one else came into contact with the Black Boo not even Holloway (he was given the Black Substance from inside the vase by David NOT the Black Goo). The only reason why the Black Goo enhances organic material is because even when crew stepped on it when they went to go look for Fiffield and Millburn the Goo did absolutely nothing to them, and remember when David touched it nothing happened. Also the scene where Fifield got spayed by the acid from cutting the Snake Like Creature, as soon as he dropped face down into the Black Goo when he pulled himself up the acid started to burn him rapidly, that means that acid were organic and the Black Goo enhanced its effectiveness.
VERY IMPORTANT! THE BLACK GOO ONLY CAME INTO CONTACT WITH THE WORMS.
2) Some fans believe that the Goo the Engineer consumed is different from the Black Goo on LV223. But what if its the same Goo mixed with another Substance (that breaks down cells and create new organism ) so that it can enhance that Substance. That could explain the sudden acceleration in the cell breakdown of the Engineer in the beginning. Also that Goo and the Black Goo have the same attributes when it comes into contact with the atmosphere.
3) My theory about this substance is that it's the pure Alien DNA. Why i say that? From the time it was consumed by Holloway the end result was the Alien that emerged from inside the Engineer. So that made me believe that the Black Substance is the Bio Weapon that Engineers were going to unleash upon earth.
"TO CREATE NEW LIFE, ONE MUST FIRST DESTROY" (Destroy the Human race, and create the Alien race) Or (Destroy the Human race, by using the Aliens, and then destroy the Aliens by using another method, and then begin new life). Just a thought: in the Bible God destroyed the world just to rebuild it with Noah an his family because he was disappointed in the Human race.
4) This is the Substance to preserve the Black Substance, like oil used as a preservative. If the Black Substance (Alien DNA) was just left in the vase alone it will deteriorate, don't you think?
