When the sacrificial Engineer broke his DNA down to seed the earth about 3.8 billion years ago I have a hard time believing that dinosaurs, trilobites, etc would come first. I have to wonder about their own evolution. Hypothetically, did they have a earth like evolution the same as we did on their home world? The last engineer had gill slits in his neck. In Human fetal developement, we have fish like gills in early stages in the womb. It sure raises great speculation.
