THIS WHOLE SCENE, FOR ME, WAS THE ULTIMATE MAN-RAPE HORRORSHOW MOMENT
I mean, no matter how broken the editorial path TO this scene was (thanks for hacking out the violin/book awe and axe scenes Ridley (in fact, thanks for removing ALL EMPATHY for the Engineers, all human attributes i.e. speech e.g. with subtitles would have been useful) nice move there) the actual scene itself was f*cking brutal in the most primal way.
Prometheus should have had more PRIMAL HORROR moments like that one. But as you know, for me, the Giger-universe is an adult place; not for the squeamish, or teenagers. Oh, and screw that Deacon birth scene pin-cushioned at the end, that was 'superfluous to narrative requirements' for this sector of the pre-Alien story. And the design was quite 'dull', even with the articulated jawness... dull.
