Hi,
I was just wondering what other people's thoughts were here. In the early scene where David (Michael Fassbender) is doing his android learning there is a scene where he's learning languages; there's a reference to 'Indo-European substrate'(?), which I thought was interesting. I presumed that David was being taught a reconstructed Proto Indo-European language, or, perhaps an even older human language, which was then later on to be used to communicate with the Engineer, who were of course the first 'humans'. I thought this was a pretty cool idea as I've studied some philology.
Whilst there were some plot holes, and at times, sloppy direction, overall I enjoyed the film (in 2D). I look forward to the next which probably won't be too far off.
