I've watched the scene with the rather violent engineer a few times and I can't quite make out what he's feeling or thinking in those scenes
But one thing I did notice, is there was mild shock/surprise when he first stands up
When he steps down and Weyland speaks, he looks up really fast and his face looks, well, almost evil, like he's offended/disgusted.
When Shaw is screaming about the cargo/hating us bit, I noticed he's blinking faster, perhaps he's getting anxious or irritated at this point.
But when he strokes Davids hair, it looks/feels like mild compassion and curiousity, perhaps even sympathy for David, for some reason.
When he turns to attack the merc and Ford, the face this time seems to be more scrunched up, very aggressive/hostile looking, almost sadistic, like he's enjoying killing them.
When he's burnt and comes back for Shaw, he doesn't immediately take his eyes off her, despite having a huge tentacle around his neck, it takes several tugs towards the door, before he breaks eye contact, like he's determined to kill her, even if he's under attack from something a lot more powerful.
