Thanks to the people who opened this forum. I don t have enough time to get really involve but I read some threads when I can. I m a "fan" of the 3 first Alien and I can t wait for this movie. But there are small details I already dislike and some are in the space suits design.
I ll avoid a discussion about the look (which is too old school and feminine to me) but only speak about technical stuff..
WHY
- do they have (small) protections for the biceps but not for the triceps?..
- And also why no protections for the stomac and the genital area which are very important parts!!!
They are going to visit an unknown planet. They dont know what kind of creatures or phenomens they can meet. They should wear high protection suits (as below for instance) and carry weapons all the time! (and never remove their helmets!! it may be full of unknown deseases)
Maybe Ridley Scott chose to dress his characters with low protection suits to create a feeling of insecurity in the audience?
